When Coronavirus hit America, it was a soft breeze, followed by a giant storm. Many small and medium sized businesses that relied on local traffic were deemed non-essential, and they were hit the hardest. We saw the impact of this with our customers first-hand. It was heartbreaking.

It has been heard loud and clear by local businesses across America that they need help to survive. During a time like this, advertising is often ignored as a tactic that helps. But we need to remember that advertising is an important part of economic activity, it drives growth.

From the beginning, it has been TapOnIt’s mission to drive awareness and sales for local businesses by advertising their services to our extremely engaged audience. That is what local businesses need most today; a reminder to America that they are still operating, just in a limited way, and when they reopen they need people to return.

At TapOnIt, we help local businesses advertise using one of the most direct methods of all: text message. We started this in our hometown in Iowa, in 2015, and have created a movement in cities nationwide where saving money and discovering local businesses can all happen in one text thread. We know that we can make a difference and we want to help.

In that spirit, we’ve announced that we are donating up to $4 million in free advertising to local businesses across the country that have been impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic, under the name #4Million4Local.

Local restaurants and retail businesses can contact the TapOnIt Team. We are hoping to feature as many businesses as possible over the next month, so tell your fellow business owners.

Join me in this movement in reminding America that local businesses are still open. Join me in #4Million4Local!
