Will you be our Galentine?

Jan 26, 2021

Sorry boys, but as Martina McBride so lovingly put it, “This one’s for the girls”

So, what exactly is Galentine’s Day? You’re not alone if you aren’t sure when it is or where the idea came from; our office had to use our good friend Google to identify the date and where it originated.

Galentine’s Day originated from the show ‘Parks and Recreation’ – during an episode where the main character Leslie Knope declared that February 13th be known as Galentine’s Day over brunch with her friends by saying “Every February 13, my ladyfriends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”

As a female-founded company, we couldn’t be more about girl power, so whether you and your Galentines will be celebrating over brunch, cocktails or a zoom call, we cheers to you, and all of your gal pals!

Happy Galentines Day
